Born in Sunnyside, Washington, Jens Pulver rose from a decorated wrestling background to make his UFC debut in 1999. Penn -- before leaving the promotion due to a contract dispute. Pulver later competed in PRIDE, returned to the UFC, and fought in WEC and ONE, before officially retiring from competition in 2014.
